CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia Tech softball (36-14, 11-12 ACC) came up short against No. 18 Clemson (36-14, 13-10 ACC), falling 3-0 in game two of the series on Saturday at McWhorter Stadium.
Junior hurler Blake Neleman got the start in the circle, tossing 5 2/3 innings and piling up eight strikeouts while allowing three runs on five hits. From the dish, sophomore shortstop Jin Sileo added a single for Tech’s lone hit of the day.
Clemson took the lead early, inching ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the first behind an RBI double and a sacrifice fly. The Tigers tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth by way of a bases-loaded walk, riding out the lead from there for a 3-0 win.

- Neleman’s eight strikeouts tie for her fifth most in a single game this season.
- Awald picked up another walk to bolster her program record of career walks up to 166. On the season, her 49 walks currently rank third in program history.
