THE FLATS – Closing out the regular season with a road win on Sunday, Georgia Tech women’s basketball earned the No. 6-seed in the 2022 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Yellow Jackets earned a bye and will open the tournament on Thursday night in the second round. Tech will face the winner of the No. 11 Wake Forest/No. 14 Virginia matchup at 8 p.m. on RSN.

The ACC Tournament begins on Wednesday with first round action. Four games of second round action will be held Thursday, followed by the quarterfinals on Friday, semifinals on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday.
The Jackets concluded regular season play on Sunday, defeating Wake Forest on the road, 64-56, behind four Yellow Jackets in double-figures to setup a 20-9 overall record and 11-7 ACC ledger. Lorela Cubaj notched her 12th double-double of the season, and added seven rebounds to her stat line to become the first player in the ACC to finish with 15 points, 15 rebounds and five assists since 2015.
Tech’s 20-win campaign marked the second under the direction of head coach Nell Fortner and 14th in program history.
The 45th annual tournament will run March 2-6 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. All games will be televised during the tournament.
The first, second and quarterfinal rounds will be carried by the ACC’s Regional Sports Network (RSN) – Bally Sports South, Bally Sports Florida, Bally Sports Sun, Bally Sports Midwest, Bally Sports Indiana MASN, NESN and YES Network. Both Saturday semifinal games will be carried nationally on the ACC Network, while a national audience will also watch Sunday’s championship game via ESPN.
