THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis dropped their match to No. 31 Florida State on Thursday, 4-1.
In doubles action, Florida State took wins on courts one and two 6-4 and 6-3, respectively to secure the doubles point. Court three went unfinished with the Seminoles up 5-3.
Single competition started off quickly for the Yellow Jackets as Marcus McDaniel took his singles match 6-0, 6-3. Over the two matches this week, McDaniel only dropped seven games.
With the match knotted up at one, Florida State earned victories on courts four, five and six to clinch the match leaving courts one and three unfinished. Keshav Chopra was up a set and in a decisive tiebreaker in the second set to potentially secure the match win on court three.
The White and Gold return to play for the ACC Tournament next week.
