THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track & field announced its indoor and outdoor schedules on Tuesday. The outdoor season features the Yellow Jacket invitational from March 18-19 and the Georgia Tech Invitational from April 22-23 at the Griffin Track & Field Facility.
The indoor season kicks off on Dec. 3 with the Clemson Opener followed by the Boston University Indoor Opener on Dec. 4. Following a month break, track & field returns to competition on Jan. 8 at the Clemson Orange & Purple Classic.
After four more road trips, the indoor regular season is concluded on Feb. 18-19 at the JDL DMR Invitational.
The White and Gold move into postseason competition for the indoor season at the 2022 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Blacksburg, Va. from Feb. 22-24. Followed by the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala. from March 11-12.
Tech starts the outdoor season at home with the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The meet runs from March 18-19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Griffin Track & Field Facility. This will be the first opportunity for Tech track & field fans to see their team at home this year.
The Jackets host one more meet during the 2022 outdoor track & field season from April 22-23 for the Georgia Tech Invitational at 5:30 p.m. This will be the second to last meet for the White and Gold before heading into outdoor postseason competition.
The postseason schedule starts on May 12 with the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Durham, N.C. The meet runs through May 14.
Postseason plays continues at the NCAA Easy Preliminary Round in Bloomington, Ind. from May 25-28 followed by the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. From June 8-11.
