THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving is set to host ACC opponent Florida State for their first collegiate home opener of the season on Thursday, Oct. 19. The teams will compete in 18 events, starting with the 200 -medley relay at 11 a.m.
The Jackets are coming off a dominating win against Emory. The men and women for Tech recorded several impressive performances. Standouts for both the men and women include sophomore Allison Brown (Marietta, Ga) in the 1650 free, junior Caroline Pape (Winston Salem, NC) in the 50 free, and junior Clarissa Sabin (Springfield, NJ) in the 100 breaststrokes.
Standout for the men include junior Mert Kilavuz (Antalya, Turkey) in the 500 Free and the 1650 Free, senior Batur Ünlü (Denizli, Turkey) in the 100 and 200 free, and junior Berke Saka (Istanbul, Turkey) in the 100 back and 200 back.
