Tyson Wachenheim is in his second year as a graduate assistant at Georgia Tech. He assists with the Yellow Jackets’ defense.

Wachenheim came to The Flats after two seasons as tight ends coach at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va. With the NCAA Division I FCS Keydets, he coached first-team all-Southern Conference tight end Ryan Swingle.

Prior to beginning his coaching career at VMI, Wachenheim was a tight end at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. from 2011-14. He graduated from CNU with a bachelor’s degree in American studies in 2015.
