Julia Roman joined Georgia Tech athletics as an assistant director for facilities and events in August 2024.
Roman came to Tech after a one-year stint facilities and event operations assistant at South Alabama. In her role at South Alabama, she was the primary operations contact for volleyball, softball and soccer and assisted with operations for all 17 of the Jaguars’ sports (including football), as well as the 68 Venture’s Bowl and Senior Bowl at USA’s Hancock Whitney Stadium.
Her experience also includes an externship with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2023 and working in hospitality at the 2022 USGA Senior Open.
Roman played softball at Drexel and Lafayette, where she was a member of the CAA and Patriot League academic honor rolls. She graduated from Lafayette in 2023 with a B.A. in engineering studies.
