Jake Durshimer joined the Georgia Tech Athletics Association staff in November 2019 as an assistant director of video operations.
Durshimer was a key component to the successful launch of the ACC Network on The Flats, sharing linear television production duties in the early stages of the network. His role has evolved in his time at Georgia Tech to focus primarily on in-venue displays & fan experience. Durshimer is the primary point-of-contact for all LED-related inquiries and requests in Georgia Tech’s athletics venues.
Durshimer arrived on The Flats following a three-year stint with Florida State’s Seminole Productions staff where he served as the primary ESPN producer as the ACC ramped up for its network launch, introducing new branding for their digital productions. He also aided in the implementation of new workflows for LED content delivery and in-venue fan experience as his time at FSU coincided with the installation of major video displays at football and baseball, as well as the creation of new premium seating at several venues.
An FSU alum, Durshimer has held positions on gameday crews at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Truist Park, Overtime and other major athletic brands across the southeast. Additionally, he spent several years as a freelance trainer for Ross Video with a focus on their XPression & Carbonite products, particularly as they related to ESPN’s School Control Room workflows.
Durshimer is a 2015 graduate of Florida State University, earning a bachelor of science degree from the Digital Media Production program.
