Softball Rained Out Against Mercer

ATLANTA (April 3) – The Georgia Tech softball team’s doubleheader against the Mercer Bears at Glenn Field on Tuesday, April 3 was halted with one out in the bottom of the second inning as heavy rains that soaked the Atlanta area made playing conditions impossible.

Mercer held a 1-0 lead in the contest and the Yellow Jackets had runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the second when the heavy rains came and stopped the contest.

Tech will attempt to continue its home stand on Wednesday when it hosts in-state rival Georgia Southern in a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Glenn Field.

No makeup date has been announced for the Mercer doubleheader. Another schedule note, Tech’s doubleheader scheduled for Sunday, April 8 against Morris Brown has been cancelled and will not be made up.
