School-Record 103 Tech Student-Athletes Named to ACC Honor Roll

ATLANTA (August 16) — Georgia Tech placed a school-record 103 student-athletes on the 1998-99 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll, announced by Commissioner John Swofford on Friday.

The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. This year’s total surpasses the previous record of 94 set last season.

Among the honorees were five-time all-America women’s track star Andria King, ACC Player of the Year and first team all-America golfer Bryce Molder, and freshman all-America baseball player Mark Teixeira.
