Rhino Signs Free Agent With Montreal Alouettes

Feb. 11, 2003

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech punt returner/cornerback Kelley Rhino has signed a free agent contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, the team announced today.

Rhino, a first-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference selection in 2001 and an honorable mention pick in 2002 as a return specialist, holds Georgia Tech school records with 1,135 punt return yards on 112 returns. He finished his collegiate career ranked second in ACC history in both categories.

Rhino follows in the footsteps of his father, former Tech All-American Randy Rhino, who played 74 games for the Alouettes from 1976-80. Randy Rhino held Tech’s single season and career punt returns records before they were broken by Kelley over the last two seasons.
