#ProJackets Football Report: Week 2

THE FLATS — The 102nd season of the National Football League is almost upon us and several former Yellow Jackets started the season strong in this week’s #ProJackets Football Report.

In Monday Night Football’s thrilling victory for the Las Vegas Raiders, tight end Darren Waller was targeted a career-high 19 times and hauled in 10 catches for 105 yards in the 33-27 overtime win. A dominant force the whole night – including catching a clutch touchdown that put two Raven defenders in the spin cycle – Vegas coach Jon Gruden called Waller ‘the best player I’ve ever coached.’

Pressley Harvin III made his NFL debut on Sunday, booming five punts for 207 yards, including two inside the 20, in Pittsburgh’s 23-16 win over Buffalo. Harvin averaged 41.4 yards per punt after hitting a 51-yarder in the first quarter. Harvin also severed as holder on field goal tries, a role he also filled while at Georgia Tech.

Starting his fifth year with the Kansas City Chiefs, Harrison Butker kicked two field goals and three extra-points in their 33-29 win over the Browns. Butker also boomed 7 kickoffs for 449 yards and six touchbacks.

Offensive lineman Shaq Mason also made his 84th start with the New England Patriots as they fell 17-16 to the Miami Dolphins. In Jeremiah Attaochu’s first season with the Chicago Bears, he appeared in 20 defensive snaps and 13 special teams snaps, making one assisted tackle in the 34-14 loss to the Rams.
