O'Neill Advances to Qualifying Draw at All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Junior Jillian O’Neill completed her first test of the Riveira/ITA All-American Championships with a straight-set victory of Sofie Oyen of Florida Sunday to advance to the Qualifying singles draw.

O’Neill, who is in her first season with the Yellow Jackets, defeated Oyen 7-5, 6-2 in the third round of the pre-qualifying draw. Viet Ha Ngo dropped her third round match to Joanna Mather of Florida, 6-2, 6-4.

The Yellow Jackets duo of Sasha Krupina and Caroline Lilley will begin play Tuesday in the qualifying doubles draw, while O’Neill will continue her tournament Tuesday as well.
