• No. 17 Georgia Tech wraps up its series with crosstown foe Georgia State in Panthersville when the two teams face off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
• Georgia Tech is looking to keep the momentum going after taking a huge ACC Coastal Division series on the road at then-No. 12 Virginia Tech.
• The Jackets looked perhaps as good as they’ve looked all season when they defeated the Hokies 11-4 on Sunday behind four multi-hit days and terrific pitching from Dalton Smith, Zach Maxwell and Marquis Grissom, Jr.
• Tech is still No. 2 in the ACC in hitting at .290 for the season and is No. 2 in league play at .298.
• Georgia Tech also leads in doubles, second in hits, and third in slugging, on-base percentage and triples.
• True freshman Kevin Parada still leads the Jackets and is seventh in the ACC, hitting .357 on 45 hits.
• Also hitting north of .300 is Tres Gonzalez (.340), Luke Waddell (.305) and Jake DeLeo (.303).
• Gonzalez ranks third in ACC in walks with 26 and is third in on-base percentage (.482) while Parada co-leads the league with 13 doubles.
• The Jackets’ starting rotation of Brant Hurter, Andy Archer and Sam Crawford will look to continue its consistent play.
• In a combined 134.2 innings, the trio has allowed 57 earned runs for a collective ERA of 3.81. The three have also combined to a 2.7:1 strikeout to walk ratio.
• Archer’s 3.19 ERA ranks sixth in the ACC, while Hurter’s 18 strikeouts looking rank fifth.
• The Jackets got sensational outings out of Zach Maxwell and Marquis Grissom, Jr. on Sunday, combining to allow just one unearned run and punch out 10 in 5.0 innings.
