THE FLATS – No. 13 Georgia Tech volleyball (7-2) has sold out tickets for both of this weekend’s matches against Wake Forest (8-3) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Virginia Tech (7-4) on Sunday at 1 p.m. in O’Keefe Gymnasium to begin ACC play. The Yellow Jackets have sold out all of their matches to date this season, including both of their home tournaments in the GT Invitational and Georgia Tech Classic, bringing the total to seven sellouts on the year.
Although general admission tickets have been sold out, 200 tickets remain available for Georgia Tech students with free admission at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid BuzzCard must be displayed in order for students to receive a ticket to the match.
The White and Gold return home to open conference play after sweeping rival Georgia (9-2) in this season’s edition of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate. The Yellow Jackets have now swept the Bulldogs in back-to-back seasons.
As a unit, the nation’s No. 13 squad is currently third in the ACC in assists per set (12.45) while ranking top five in the league in hitting percentage (.258) and kills per set (13.55). Individually, senior outside hitter Julia Bergmann currently leads the nation in kills per set (5.52) and points per set (6.19).
Tech has won 65 of its last 79 matches dating back to 2019. The Yellow Jackets have also won 39 of their last 45 matches at home in O’Keefe Gymnasium.
Georgia Tech has built a tradition of playing in front of sellout crowds after selling out nine of its final 10 regular season matches along with both the first and second rounds of NCAA tournament matches hosted on The Flats in 2021.
