THE FLATS – Nicole Fegans keeps rewriting the record books on The Flats with a new record in the indoor 5000m with a time of 15:42.73 at the Boston University Indoor Opener.
Fegans improves on her own school record in the indoor 5000m by 23.77 seconds. In addition to the indoor 5000m school record, she owns the indoor mile and 3000m school records as well as the outdoor 1500m, 3000m and 10000m.
“What a great way for Nicole to end an awesome calendar year of racing and kick-off a new season. She continues to raise the standard for our distance events. We’re excited to see what she and her teammates can do in the new year,” head women’s track and field coach Alan Drosky said.
This was the first meet of the indoor season for Fegans. The next meet for the Yellow Jackets is on Jan. 8, 2022 at the Clemson Orange & Purple Classic.
