Men’s Basketball Takes Turn at ACC Tipoff

Head coach Scott Cross, Jackson Fields and Nasir Whitlock represent Jackets in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Georgia Tech men’s basketball is set to take its turn at the Atlantic Coast Conference’s annual basketball media day, ACC Tipoff, in Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets will be represented by head coach Scott Cross and student-athletes Jackson Fields and Nasir Whitlock. Fans can watch live coverage of the event throughout the day on ACC Network and ACC Network Extra.

Georgia Tech takes its rotation through a variety of interviews, press conference, photo shoots and other activities with local, regional and national television and radio outlets on Tuesday afternoon, the first session of the men’s basketball portion. The Yellow Jackets will rotate through stations from 12 p.m. to approximately 5 p.m. Fans will be able to tune-in for live segments when the trio appears on ACC Network Extra for a press conference, and separately live on ACC Network. Tech’s activities will be posted on its social channels throughout the day.

  • 2:30 - 2:45 p.m. – ACC Network Extra – Cross, Fields, Whitlock press conference
  • 3:15 – 3:30 p.m. – ACC Network – Cross
  • 3:30 – 3:45 p.m. – ACC Network – Fields, Whitlock

 

Georgia Tech is ushering in a new era under first-year head coach Scott Cross. The Yellow Jackets’ roster will feature a plethora of new faces with 13 newcomers in addition to a pair of returners from last year’s squad. Amongst Tech’s 13 newcomers are seven transfers and six freshmen.

The Yellow Jackets will play a pair of exhibition games in the preseason, first against Maryland on Oct. 11 before traveling to Providence College on Oct. 24 before officially opening the season with an eight-game homestand beginning with Hampton on Nov. 3.

Season ticket prices start at $365. A variety of seat locations are available for Yellow Jacket fans at McCamish Pavilion, including lower and upper bowl seating, courtside seats and exclusive, one-of-a-kind ticket plus hospitality experiences in the Callaway Club, presented by Kia.

Full Steam Ahead

Full Steam Ahead is a $500 million fundraising initiative to achieve Georgia Tech athletics’ goal of competing for championships at the highest level in the next era of intercollegiate athletics.
