Last season’s home invite from Fairburn, saw Tech dominate with podium sweeps across both 8k and 6k races, including five Yellow Jacket top-10 finishes in both races.
Taylor Wade earned his first career race victory in the 2026 home event and will look to secure his third career win after his season opening victory at Stan Sims. He also is ranked as the No. 31 runner in the nation according to USTFCCCA XCRI athlete rankings. Claire Shelton and Lottie Chappell have led the women’s squad and aim to record their first victories of the season.
Both Tech squads are ranked among the top-15 of the USTFCCCA regional rankings as the men stand at ninth with the women’s squad at 15th in the south. The Jackets are also ranked 11th and 17th in the USTFCCCA XCRI Team Five rankings, respectively.
