THE FLATS – In an effort to further alleviate congestion for fans entering Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, Georgia Tech athletics will open all gates two hours prior to kickoff of Saturday’s highly anticipated game between Georgia Tech and Tennessee. All gates will open at 5 p.m. (30 minutes earlier than previously announced) for the 7 p.m. showdown between the Yellow Jackets and Volunteers.
With Saturday’s matchup trending to be a fourth-straight sellout at Bobby Dodd Stadium, fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to assure that they are in their seats prior to the beginning of Georgia Tech’s pregame show. The pregame show begins 25 minutes prior to kickoff (6:35 p.m.) and culminates with one of college football’s best entrances when the Yellow Jackets enter the field behind the Ramblin’ Reck.
Before entering the stadium, fans are encouraged to enjoy Helluva Block Party, which begins at 3 p.m. on the north end of Bobby Dodd Stadium. Yellow Jacket Alley – Georgia Tech’s team arrival and walk into Bobby Dodd Stadium – is set for 4:30 p.m. Yellow Jacket Alley starts just south of the intersection of Techwood Drive and 4th Street and proceeds south on Techwood Drive before turning west onto Bobby Dodd Way and into the stadium.
Georgia Tech and Tennessee will renew their century-old rivalry for only the second time in 39 years when they square off on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. A very limited number of tickets remain for the matchup that is trending to be Georgia Tech’s fourth-straight sellout at Bobby Dodd Stadium, which would be its longest sellout streak since 1999. Remaining tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE.
