ACC Unveils 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s basketball will open its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule at home, welcoming Duke to McCamish Pavilion on Dec. 30, and play three of its first four league games inside McCamish Pavilion, as the conference office announced the entire ACC schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday afternoon. 

Tip times and television coverage will be announced in the coming weeks. Midweek conference games are subject to change based on television coverage.

The Yellow Jackets have opened their ACC schedule against either Duke or North Carolina each of the last five years, and will continue the streak this season, welcoming the Blue Devils on Dec. 30 for the first ACC game under head coach Scott Cross. A quick trip to Syracuse on Jan. 2 breaks up a homestand as Tech returns to Atlanta from visiting the Orange to welcome Miami (Jan. 5) and Notre Dame (Jan. 9). Tech will also host NC State (Jan. 19) and Louisville (Jan. 30) during the month, and travel to Clemson (Jan. 12), SMU (Jan. 23) and Virginia (Jan. 27).

Georgia Tech will host three league foes and play four road games during the month of February, starting with a tilt inside the Thrillerdome against Stanford on Feb. 3. Tech will then play back-to-back games on the road with trips to North Carolina (Feb. 6) and Boston College (Feb. 9) before Clemson’s return trip to Atlanta on either Feb. 16 or Feb. 17 breaks up the road swing. After the brief stay at home against the Tigers, the Jackets return to the road with trips to Pittsburgh (Feb. 20) and Florida State (Feb. 23). SMU visits Atlanta for the first time as an ACC opponent on Feb. 27 to conclude the month.

Tech will close the regular season with two games in March, visiting Wake Forest on March 3 before hosting Virginia Tech on March 6. The top 15 teams in the final league standings will then head to Greensboro, N.C. for the 2027 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, March 9-13, played at the First Horizon Coliseum.

TECH 2026-27 SCHEDULE NOTES

• Saturday home ACC games include Notre Dame (Jan. 9), Louisville (Jan. 30), SMU (Feb. 27) and Virginia Tech (March 6).
• The ACC moved to an 18-game men’s basketball schedule last season after playing a 20-game schedule since the 2019-20 season. Each team will play one primary partner both home and away as well as one variable partner home and away.
• Tech’s primary home-and-away partner for 2026-27 is Clemson with its variable partner being SMU. Georgia Tech will not play California in the 2026-27 season after playing the Golden Bears twice last season as its variable partner.
• Georgia Tech will play 19 regular-season home games in 2026-27. Of its 14-game non-conference schedule, Tech will play 10 at McCamish Pavilion, while hosting nine ACC opponents. The Yellow Jackets have played 19 regular-season home games in two-of-the-last three years – also playing 19 in 2024-25.

Full Steam Ahead is a $500 million fundraising initiative to achieve Georgia Tech athletics’ goal of competing for championships at the highest level in the next era of intercollegiate athletics.
