THE FLATS – Georgia Tech Athletics’ partnership with Atlanta News First continues this fall with the return of “Jackets All-Access,” with new half-hour episodes showcasing multiple Georgia Tech Athletics programs. New episodes begin Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. on ANF.
The return follows a successful run this past spring where ANF Sports Director Ballie Burmaster and her team followed Georgia Tech baseball through a record-breaking season. The focus this fall is on Georgia Tech football and men’s and women’s basketball teams. Episodes will also be available on the ANF+ streaming channel on Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TVs, as well as on Peachtree Sports Network, channel 17.2. Football kicks off Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. against Colorado as Brent Key begins his fourth full season as head coach. The Yellow Jackets are looking to build on a 9-4 season a year ago including a 6-2 ACC record. Georgia Tech is the only ACC team to finish top four in the conference standings each of the last three seasons.
Tech men’s basketball takes the court this fall under new head coach Scott Cross. Announced as the 16th head coach in program history back in March, Cross welcomes 13 new faces to the team with a pair of returning letterwinners in Kam Craft and Cole Kirouac.
Head coach Karen Blair is at the helm of Georgia Tech women’s basketball for her second season after reaching the WBIT last year. Tech returns All-ACC First Teamer Talayah Walker – one of four starters back on The Flats from 2025-26. The Jackets also bring in seven newcomers this season.
Full Steam Ahead
Full Steam Ahead is a $500 million fundraising initiative to achieve Georgia Tech athletics’ goal of competing for championships at the highest level in the next era of intercollegiate athletics. The initiative will fund transformative projects for Tech athletics, including renovations of Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field (the historic home of Georgia Tech football), the Zelnak Basketball Center (the practice and training facility for Tech basketball) and O’Keefe Gymnasium (the venerable home of Yellow Jackets volleyball), as well as additional projects and initiatives to further advance Georgia Tech athletics through program wide-operational support.
