THE FLATS – Two-time All-American and Georgia Tech alumna Carol Lee is set to begin play in the 2026 U.S. Open Sunday.
She qualified earlier in August after clinching the U.S. Open Wild Card challenge to earn a spot in the main draw.
Lee, who played on The Flats from 2021-24, was named a 2022 ITA Doubles All-American and earned ITA Singles All-America honors in 2023. She earned three All-ACC honors including back-to-back first team selections. In 2024, she earned the ITA Cisse Leary Sportsmanship Award.
She becomes the fourth Yellow Jacket alumna to play in the U.S. Open and first since Irina Falconi in 2014. Lee faces Katie Boulter in the first round.
The 2026 U.S. Open begins Sunday and continues until the women’s singles final on Saturday, Sept. 12.
