THE FLATS – The 2026 National Football League Scouting Combine has come to a close for Georgia Tech’s four representatives at this year’s event – DB Ahmari Harvey (Tallahassee, Fla./Florida State University School), QB Haynes King (Longview, Texas/Longview H.S.), WR Eric Rivers (Chattanooga, Tenn./McCallie School) and OL Keylan Rutledge (Royston, Ga./Franklin County H.S.).
The Yellow Jackets’ highlights at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis included:
- Rivers running the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds, which was tied for the sixth-fastest time posted by a wide receiver and the 11th-fastest overall time at this year’s combine;
- King recording a 4.46-second 40-yard dash, which is the fifth-fastest time ever by a quarterback at the combine;
- Rutledge finishing the 20-yard shuttle drill in 4.54 seconds, which was the fastest time recorded by an offensive lineman at this year’s combine.
According to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats Draft Model analytics (scores on a scale of 50-99):
- Rutledge’s athleticism score of 90 was tops among all guards that were invited to this year’s combine, while his total score of 78 ranked third among the combine’s guards;
- King ranked second among QBs at this year’s combine with an athleticism score of 94;
- Rivers ranked 12th among the combine’s 46 wideouts with an athleticism score of 81 and 15th with a total score of 76.
