THE FLATS – Former Georgia Tech swimmer Jing Li was named to the prestigious 2023 Georgia Tech Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40 Class as the honorees were announced on Thursday. Also representing the Yellow Jackets were Joe Gammie and Laura Powell. The annual list recognizes Georgia Tech’s most remarkable innovators, trend setters and people to watch.
A four-year letterwinner on the swimming and diving team (2007-10), Li graduated from Georgia Tech in 2010 with a degree in industrial engineering. While a Yellow Jacket, Li ranked among the best in the record books, once appearing in the top 10 in the 1,000 free and 1,650 free events. Since graduation, Li has dedicated her career to laying the foundation for the next generation of leaders through education, technology, sustainability and diversity. She founded the nonprofit Project Ollie to provide Ukrainian educators and learners with humanitarian support and tools to thrive. Once a member of the Peace Korps Ukraine, Li also helped reduce food waste through IoT sensors. She currently serves as a product management senior principal at Accenture.
