THE FLATS – Georgia Tech guards Lotta-Maj Lahtinen and Eylia Love earned places on the 2021-22 All-ACC Women’s Basketball Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The team features 43 student-athletes, with at least one from each of the ACC’s 15 programs.
The accolade is the third for Lahtinen and first for Love. Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The team’s leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game, Lahtinen started 31 games for the Yellow Jackets and was second on the team in assists (130) and steals (43). She joined the prestigious 1,000-career points club during her senior campaign, becoming the 33rd player in Georgia Tech women’s basketball history to reach the milestone. This past season, Lahtinen scored in double figures in 17 games and led the Jackets in scoring in nine outings.
