CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia Tech Track and Field opened its indoor regular season on Saturday at the Clemson Orange and Purple Elite.
The meet featured Georgia Tech, hosts Clemson and South Carolina.
Four Jackets women finished in the top spots for their events. Olivia Moore continued her dominance in the pole vault. The all-time Georgia Tech record holder in the event finished on top of the field clearing 3.87m.
Taylor Grimes repeated her prowess in the 60 hurdles completing the event in 8.50 seconds, first among attached runners. Grimes ran the same event at the Clemson Opener in December with a time of 8.36 seconds, best in the ACC.
In her first action of the season, Sheleah Harris won the 60m dash clocking in at 7.60 seconds for a new personal record.
This was the second time the Yellow Jackets ran the 1000m and for the second time in two meet, Riley Perlakowksi took home the top spot in the event (2:52.47).
Tech had the top five finishers in the event in Perlakowski (bib 4), Sarah Copeland (bib 3) (2:55.20), Liz Galarza (bib 5) (2:54.52), Claire Moritz (bib 6) (2:55.68) and Katherine Byrne (bib 9) (2:57.91).
