THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis recorded another successful academic year, earning 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team and placing five student-athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athletes list, the organization announced on Monday.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must hold a grade point average of at least a 3.5 for the current academic year. The Jackets were represented by Zummy Bauer, Keshav Chopra, Brandon Freestone, Andres Martin and Brandon McKinney. Bauer leads the way with his fourth scholar-athlete selection, while Chopra, Freestone, Martin and McKinney each garnered their second honor.
Additionally, Georgia Tech men’s tennis was tabbed an ITA All-Academic Team for the third consecutive year. The honor recognizes programs that posted a team grade point average of 3.2 or above for the 2020-21 academic year.
