Sophomore Nicole Fegans was the second Jacket to pass the finish line, placing 30th overall with a time of 21:18.1. Amy Ruiz followed closely behind at 33rd (21:21.0) and Mary Prouty finished 39th clocking a time of 21:26.6. Rounding out the top-65 was senior Hailey Gollnick finishing 63rd (21:56.4) and grabbing 64th place was Ellen Flood with a personal best 21:57.8.
In the men’s 8k, Andrew Kent finished in the top-50 coming in at 40th with a career-best 24:34.5 and senior Avery Bartlett clocked a time of 24:49.4 good for 54th place. Following Bartlett, was Mitchell Sanders who finished 59th (24:52.8) and Christian Bowles grabbed 70th (24:58.8).
The Jackets are back in action for the NCAA South Regionals in Tallahassee, Fla., Friday, Nov. 9. The women’s race begins at 8:30 a.m. while the men compete at 9:30 a.m.
