THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s and women’s cross country squads reported for their first day of practice on Tuesday morning. Following a short trek to Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, the Jackets worked on conditioning and stretching at football’s John and Mary Brock facility.
Cross country travels to Athens for its first meet of the season, hosted by Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 8. On the women’s side, the Jackets welcome eight newcomers, while the men add 11. Among the returners, senior Avery Bartlett looks to start another successful year after recording four top-30 finishes last season in six meets.
