THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s men’s tennis will host two events – the ITA Southeast Regional and its own Georgia Tech Fall Invitational – to highlight its five-event fall schedule, the team announced Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets, in their 27th year under Byers Men’s Tennis Head Coach Kenny Thorne, begin their fall competition by traveling to Athens, Ga., Sept. 29-Oct. 1 for the Southern Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by the University of Georgia. At the same time, Thorne will send select individuals to compete in the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 30-Oct. 8 in Tulsa, Okla.

Tech returns home Oct. 12-16 to host the ITA Southeast Regional at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex, featuring top collegiate competitors in singles and doubles from the states of Georgia and Florida. Action continues when the Yellow Jackets participate in the Commodore Invitational, hosted by Vanderbilt University, Oct. 27-29 in Nashville, Tenn.

The fall season will conclude with Tech hosting the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational, Nov. 3-5, at the Byers Complex, while select Yellow Jackets will compete in the ITA National Fall Championships, Nov. 1-5, in San Diego, Calif.
