McLaren Named Interim Director of Marketing, Sales, Ticket Operations

ATLANTA–Scott McLaren, the Georgia Tech Athletic Association’s Director of Ticket Operations the last two years, has been named Director of Marketing, Sales and Ticket Operations on an interim basis, Director of Athletics Dave Braine announced Thursday.

As Director of Ticket Operations, McLaren has implemented technological advances and customer service initiatives, including real-time, on-line ticketing, both for season tickets and single-game tickets, and extended hours for telephone orders. In 2004, Tech will reach record numbers for season ticket sales in both football and basketball.

McLaren joined the Tech staff in 2002 after six years in the Florida State athletics department, including two years as assistant ticket manager and four years as information technology manager.

A native of Griffin, Ga., McLaren earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Florida State in 1992 and then completed a master’s degree in sports administration from FSU in 2004. He lettered one year for the Seminoles’ football team.
