McKay Jr. Earns ACC Performer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech’s Antonio McKay Jr. has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Performer of the Week for the period ending Jan. 31st, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The junior from Charlotte, N.C. had a career day at the Rod McCravy Invitational in Lexington, Ky. on Saturday, as he captured the 400-meter dash in a career-best time of 46.63. The mark was also an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark. McKay Jr. also crossed the finish line in 21.62 in the 200-meter dash, which is the fourth best mark in the conference on the season.

McKay Jr. and the rest of the Yellow Jackets return to action this weekend at the Virginia Tech Elite Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. Action gets underway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and runs through Saturday afternoon.
