ATHENS, Ga. – After an outstanding showing over the course of the three day NCAA Zone B Diving Championships at Gabrielsen Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia, sophomore Brandon Makinson earned a coveted spot in the NCAA Championships.
Makinson was one of five ACC divers to earn a spot in the finals, finishing eighth after the three-day competition. Makinson took 20th in the platform dive on the final day with a point total of 239.10. Despite not making the finals, Makinson’s point total was good enough to help him into the Championships.
Shining on the platform for the Jackets was Chris Khosravi who earned a fifth place finish tallying 706.50 total points after recording 354.20 points in the prelims.
The Men’s NCAA Championships will take place from March 24-26 in Minneapolis, Minn.
