THE FLATS – Georgia Tech tight end Dylan Leonard (Milton, Ga./Milton H.S.) has been named a member of the National Football Foundation’s prestigious Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced on Wednesday.
To be considered Hampshire Honor Society membership, a player must have graduated or be on pace to graduate before the 2023 season, have no more than one season of eligibility remaining, maintained an undergraduate grade-point average of 3.2 or higher and been a starter or a significant contributor during the 2022 season.
Leonard earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Tech in December 2022 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in analytics. Earlier this year, he was named an Atlantic Coast Conference postgraduate scholarship recipient.
Leonard arrived at Georgia Tech as a walk-on in 2019 and quickly earned a scholarship after appearing in all 12 games as a true freshman. He has gone on to make 20 starts in 38 games as a Yellow Jacket (including eight starts in nine contests last season) entering his final season of eligibility in 2023. He has also participated in several community service initiatives during his time on The Flats, including with Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army and local youth organizations.
Leonard and the Yellow Jackets wrap up their spring practice season on Saturday when Georgia Tech holds its White and Gold Game, presented by Georgia’s Own Credit Union, at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and admission is FREE. Click HERE for more details.
