March 19, 2013

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech sophomore forward Julian Royal will transfer to another school following the completion of the spring semester, head coach Brian Gregory announced Tuesday.

“I appreciate everything that Julian has done for our program the last two years and the work he has put in,” said Gregory. “He’s a fine young man, and he has done well in school. He’s done a great job representing our program on and off the court, and we wish him all the best.”

The 6-8 forward from Alpharetta, Ga., has played in 54 games in his two seasons at Tech, averaging 3.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per game while hitting 40.9 percent of his shots from the floor.
