CARY, N.C. — Georgia Tech women’s tennis posted a successful day at the Duke Invitational on Saturday, recording three doubles wins and a pair of singles victories. Picking up her second singles win of the tournament, sophomore Kenya Jones will compete for the title of her draw on Sunday.

The final round of doubles action kicked day two off in Cary, N.C., and the Jackets picked up wins on every court. The newcomer pair of Ida Jarlskog/Victoria Flores, ranked No. 40 in the ITA preseason rankings, fought off a tough Duke tandem, Ema Lazic/Recebba Smaller, in a tiebreak, 8-7 (6). Also capturing a doubles win on Saturday was the Tech duo of Jones/Nami Otsuka. The pair cruised to an 8-3 triumph over NC State’s Andriana Reami/Biance Moldovan. Paired with Florida’s Victoria Emma, Nadia Gizdova drew an 8-6 victory over UNC’s Maggie Kane/Cassandra Vazquez to close out doubles competition.
