Jackets Win Series Finale over Wake Forest

THE FLATS – No. 6 Georgia Tech baseball got back on track on Sunday when it used 15 hits to rout Wake Forest 14-5 at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets (15-5, 4-2 ACC) used five multi-hit performances, while also holding the previously hot Demon Deacons (16-4, 3-3 ACC) to just four hits on the day.

At the plate, Andrew Jenkins continued his scorching week, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Stephen Reid also had three hits for three RBI, while Colin Hall launched two hits, including a triple, for three RBI as well. Pinch-hitter Jackson Finley went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI, while Kevin Parada also had two hits.

Tres Gonzalez missed the multi-hit mark for the first time in six games, but did drive in two runs on the day.

On the mound, Georgia Tech got a terrific one-two punch with starter RHP Marquis Grissom, Jr. pitching a scoreless 3.0 innings of one-hit work before RHP John Medich (1-0) went the next 2.1 innings scoreless as well. LHP Luke Bartnicki, RHP Dawson Brown, LHP Joseph Mannelly.

The Yellow Jackets will now play a home-and-home against Kennesaw State on March 22-23. First pitches are set for 6 p.m. with Tuesday on ESPN+ and Wednesday nationally broadcast on ACC Network.
