THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball has signed the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, according to Perfect Game, the publication announced this week. The Yellow Jackets have added 31 new members to the 2025 roster, including 21 high school commits. This is the highest rated recruiting class Tech has singed since Perfect Game started ranking in 2011.
Georgia Tech has now signed top-5 classes in four of the last six years, top-10 classes in five of the last six years, and six-straight top-20 Perfect Game recruiting classes, leading the Atlantic Coast Conference in all categories.
Tech’s 21 high school signings includes three players ranked in the Top 100. Drew Rogers headlines the class as the No. 23-ranked recruit in the country. The Tempe, Ariz. native was named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team and is rated as the No. 3 catcher in his class. Connor Shouse (Ball Ground, Ga.) is rated as the No. 83 player in his class and a Top 10 recruit from the state along with Alex Hernandez (Cumming, Ga.) who came in at No. 96 and is rated as the No. 2 third-baseman out of Georgia.
The Yellow Jackets are the only ACC program in the Top 5 and one of five in the top-25 (also No. 8 Miami, No. 14 Clemson, No. 18 Louisville and No. 23 North Carolina). For the full list of Perfect Game’s top-100 classes, click HERE
