THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis will open ACC tournament play against the No. 7 seed Miami on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets are to No. 10 seed in the tournament.
Tech faced Miami on April 14, coming to a 4-3 loss with Miami taking the doubles point and Tech winning on singles two through four before the Hurricanes took the tightly contested match.
Should the Jackets beat the Hurricanes, the next matchup would be against Wake Forest, the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
The Yellow Jackets are ranked No. 61 in the most recent ITA rankings with Andes Martin coming in at No. 54 on the singles ranking and Martin with doubles partner Marcus McDaniel slotting in at No. 13 in the doubles rankings.
Miami sports one ranked singles player in Dan Martin (No. 84) and one ranked doubles team in Aubone/Hannestad (No. 82) while being ranked No. 29 as a team.
