THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis saw both of their competitors fall Sunday in the pre-qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships. Chen Dong and Keshav Chopra lost their first matches of the day.
Dong faced off against Oscar Pinto Sansano of Arkansas to start the morning’s action. He fell by a score of 6-4 and 7-5. Chopra saw his first action at noon against Luke Casper of Texas A&M and fell by a score of 6-2 and 6-2. Dong and Chopra will compete in doubles competition starting Monday at 1 p.m. against Ole Miss.
Next up in singles action for the Jackets is main draw play for No. 26 Marcus McDaniel and No. 31 Andres Martin. They begin their tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 6.
