WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Georgia Tech men’s tennis dropped their match to No. 7 Wake Forest in Winston Salem, N.C. on Sunday.
The doubles point saw Wake Forest win at doubles No. 2 and 3 to clinch the point, 6-1, 6-3, respectively. At doubles No. 1, the Demon Deacons were leading 5-3 before the match went unfinished.
In singles action, Wake took the first two singles matches on court five (6-1, 6-2), court four (6-2, 6-3) and court two (7-5, 6-2) to clinch the match.
As the match continued, Keshav Chopra pulled out a tough match on court three, 6-7, 6-4, 10-7, to give Tech their lone point of the match.
The White and Gold return home for the final two regular season matches of the season against Miami on Friday and Florida State on Sunday. The Sunday match is senior day and Pablo Schelcher will be honored.
