Jackets Conclude Competition at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Fresh off an ACC title in the women’s 100-meter dash, senior Amandi Rhett tallied a seventh-place finish in the 100m with a NCAA Region qualifying time of 11.65 to lead the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams this afternoon at the Penn Relays.

The men’s Distance Medley Relay team of Brendon Mahoney, Brian Ford, Barton Crist and Neil McDonagh posted a season-best time of 9:44.26 to finish sixth in the college division.

In the men’s 4×800-meter relay, David Schmidt, Mahoney, Crist and McDonagh crossed the finish line in ninth place with a time of 7:30.54.

Complete results for the Penn Relays can be found at Results. The Yellow Jackets will travel to Clemson, S.C., for the Orange & Purple Classic next Saturday, May 8.
