ATLANTA – Georgia Tech softball head coach Sharon Perkins is proud to announce that the program is starting an annual tradition of hosting a fall alumni game beginning on Sunday, Sept. 30th, after the home football game against Clemson on Saturday Sept. 29th.
The game will feature former players against this year’s current squad and also a cookout after the game. If you are a former player, you are encouraged to contact Tiffany Goodman at 404-894-3538 or tgoodman@athletics.gatech.edu.
Another first for the Yellow Jacket softball program will be the induction of former All-American shortstop Laura Williams into the GT Hall of Fame that same weekend. Williams (1994-97) becomes the first softball player to grace the Hall of Fame.
The rest of the 2007 Fall game schedule will include:
September 22 vs Ga State, 1 p.m.
September 23 vs North Georgia, 1 p.m.
September 30 vs Alumni
October 7th vs Jax State
All games will be played at Glenn Field at the corner of 14th Street and Mecaslin Street. Game times will be announced at a later date.
