Improved Game Day Experience Begins Saturday

Georgia Tech continues to improve the football game day experience for Yellow Jacket fans.

There are several pieces of news and notes for Saturday’s game against Presbyterian (7 p.m.).

NEW P.A. ANNOUNCER
Tim Hanchey, who has served as public address announcer for the Atlanta Falcons and the Chick-fil-A Bowl, will make his debut at Bobby Dodd Stadium Saturday night. Hanchey is filling in for longtime P.A. announcer John Pendergast, who is taking the season off.

YOUTH DAY
Saturday’s game vs. Presbyterian is Youth Day. An groups or teams can take advantage of a special group rate of $8 per ticket. Call the ticket office at 1-888-TECH-TIX for more information.

TECH TOWN – FRIDAY NIGHT FAN FESTS
Beginning Friday, Atlantic Station and Georgia Tech will launch a series of Friday Night Fan Fests – tailgate-style celebrations, food and fun for Georgia Tech students, alumni and fans. Friday Night Fan Fests coincide with seven home football weekends and will be free to the public.

Events begin at 7 p.m. in Central Park with live music, the Yellow Jacket Marching Band, the Georgia Tech spirit squad, Tech merchandise, Buzz the mascot and the Ramblin’ Wreck.

FREE ATLANTIC STATION SHUTTLE SERVICE
Fans can take advantage of a complimentary game day shuttle service between Atlantic Station and Bobby Dodd Stadium. Fans can park at Atlantic Station, avoid the traffic to campus and enjoy a meal and shopping before or after the game at any of the restaurants and establishments on-site.

WRECKFEST
Come to Fowler Street on campus 2.5 hours before kickoff of all home game to enjoy expanded activities for the entire family. New this year: live bands will play on Callaway Plaza prior to the start of each game. Saturday, “The Geeks” will go on stage at 4 p.m. Additionally, more inflatables, face painters, concessions and interactive promotions are planned for the entire family.

VISIT THE BROCK FAMILY INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY
The Brock Family Indoor Practice Facility, the indoor practice facility for Yellow Jacket football, will be open to the public Saturday from 4-6 p.m. To view the facility, enter the building off Cherry Street, on the northwest side of the building.

YELLOW JACKET ALLEY
Fans can greet the Tech football team on its walk to Bobby Dodd Stadium 2.5 hours prior to kickoff of every home game. The Yellow Jackets make the three-block walk down Brittain Drive with the band leading the way.

CLUB PATRON IN-SEAT SERVICE In an effort to improve the VIP experience for our season ticket holders in our club section, a new in-seat service will be provided on game days so fans won’t miss a single play.
