Homza Finishes Sixth On The Platform At Zone Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech freshman diver Bradley Homza collected a sixth-place finish on the platform as the 2014 NCAA Zone B Diving Championship concluded Wednesday in Greensboro, N.C.

Homza found himself eighth after the preliminary round and was one of 12 divers that advanced to finals. The rookie from Austin, Texas posted a prelim score of 330.95 points.

Homza, who set Tech’s record on the platform at the ACC Championship, posted an impressive score of 350.70 in the finals and his two-round score of 681.65 moved him up two spots into a sixth-place finish.

Fellow freshman Omar Eteiba was 15th with his score of 252.60, but did not reach the finals. Freshman women’s diver Madison Young finished 17th on the platform in her Zone Diving debut, scoring 211.75 points in the prelims.
