@GTSwim Returns To Action Friday In Florida

FT. MYERS, Fla. – The Georgia Tech swimming & diving teams bring their annual training trip to Florida to a close this weekend with meets on Friday and Saturday in Ft. Myers.

Friday’s double dual meet between the Yellow Jackets, Florida Gulf Coast and Florida Atlantic begins at 11 a.m. at the FGCU Aquatic Complex. On Saturday, Georgia Tech battles Cincinnati at 9 a.m. at FGCU.

The Georgia Tech men are 5-3 overall, 2-1 in the ACC and are receiving votes in latest CSCAA Top 25 poll. Tech’s women are 5-5 overall and 2-2 in ACC action.

Both FAU and FGCU competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational in late November in Atlanta. The women were closely separated with FGCU finishing fourth, Tech sixth and FAU seventh.

The Tech men placed second at the GT Invitational, with FAU in fifth.

Following the back-to-back meets in Florida, Georgia Tech returns home for an intrasquad meet on January 9 (2 p.m.) and hosting Duke on January 17 on Senior Day at 11 a.m.
