Georgia Tech's Ulrike Stegemann Named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech’s Ulrike Stegemann was named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, after helping the Yellow Jackets to victories over Florida State and Miami.

Stegemann recorded a career high 20 kills and hit a season-best .515 in leading Georgia Tech to a 3-2 victory over Florida State in Tallahassee on Friday. On Sunday afternoon, the sophomore from Schwerin, Germany, helped the Yellow Jackets rally from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Miami in five games. The opposite side hitter posted her second-consecutive 20-kill performance and hit a team-best .302.

On the week, Stegemann hit .395 with 4.0 kills per game and .50 blocks per game. Georgia Tech is now 6-6 on the year with a 3-1 record in conference play.
