ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech volleyball team hosts their annual spring tournament this Saturday, April 12, facing Georgia State, Jacksonville State and Winthrop in best-of-three matches at O’Keefe Gym.

11 a.m., Georgia Tech vs. Georgia State (O’Keefe Gym)
11 a.m., Jacksonville State vs. Winthrop (Freshman Gym @ AMC)
1 p.m., Georgia Tech vs. Winthrop (O’Keefe)
1 p.m., Georgia State vs. Jacksonville State (Freshman Gym)
2 p.m., Georgia Tech vs. Jacksonville State (O’Keefe)
2 p.m., Georgia State vs. Winthrop (Freshman Gym)
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a strong spring campaign, which included a split against Florida, one of the nation’s premier volleyball programs, last weekend. The Jackets defeated the Gators, 2-1, in a morning session match (set scores: 22-25, 25-20, 25-18) before falling by the same score in an afternoon session (17-25, 25-21, 13-15).
Talisa Kellogg, recently named to the 2008 USA Volleyball A2 Team, led Tech with 33 kills against Florida, while middle hitter Callie Miller and right side Brittany Roderick added 17 and 13 kills, respectively.
The matches this weekend will be played in a best-of-three format with each set to 25 points, and the third to 15.
