THE FLATS – Five members of the Georgia Tech men’s swim and dive team will travel to the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Minnepolis, Minn. The meet will take place from Wednesday, March 23 to Saturday, March 25 with Tech starting competition on that Thursday.
The three qualifying swimmers are Batur Ünlü, Berke Saka and Mert Kilavuz. Ünlü will swim in the 500, 200 and 100 free while Saka will swim in the 200 IM, 100 Back and 200 Back. Kilavuz is set to close out the meet by competing in the 1650 free on Saturday.
Tech’s divers, Ruben Lechuga and Elijah Klier earned their spots at NCAA’s through their performances in the Zone B Diving Championships. Lechuga will compete in the 1-meter event and Klier will dive in the platform event.
Each day, preliminaries will be contest at 10 a.m. and followed by the finals at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the 1650 free trials will take place around 4 p.m.

Thursday, March 23: 500 Free (Ünlü), 200 IM (Saka), 1 Meter (Lechuga)
Friday, March 24: 200 Free (Ünlü), 100 Back (Saka)
Saturday, March 25: 200 Back (Saka), 100 Free (Ünlü), Platform (Klier), 1650 Free (Kilavuz)
This group includes many Jackets who are ACC medalists, ACC finalists and nationally ranked in their respective events. Freshman Klier is only one out of the group who will be competing at the NCAA Championship for the first time.
Watch & Live Stream Info: ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men’s championships will be via ESPNU at 12:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 4.
