THE FLATS – A few days before Georgia Tech football begins practice, head coach Paul Johnson will spend a few hours in Bristol, Conn.
Johnson will be at ESPN’s headquarters Monday (July 29) and will appear on multiple shows across ESPN’s family of television, radio and online networks.
Johnson and five other ACC head coaches will go from show to show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of what has become known as ESPN’s “Car Wash.”

The other ACC head coaches joining Johnson in Bristol Monday: Pittsburgh’s Paul Chryst, Duke’s David Cutcliffe, NC State’s Dave Doeren, North Carolina’s Larry Fedora and Virginia’s Mike London. Six other ACC coaches visit ESPN’s studios July 30th.
